SUSHI COURSES

Sushi courses are arranged by Tomomi Mitsuhashi-Meriluoto in cooperation with Tokyokan. PLEASE NOTE that the course venue has changed. The new location is restaurant Zen Sushi at Snellmaninkatu 16, 00170 HELSINKI (Kruununhaka). Due to the pandemic situation the maximum number of participants per course is limited to 6 persons. Applications by email to happy.tombi@gmail.com. The course fee 65 EUR/person is to be paid in cash at the venue. Gift cards of Tokyokan may also be used as payment.

At the course there will also be a possibility to participate in Sake Tasting with the guidance of a Japanese Sake Sommelier. The price for Sake Tasting is 18 EUR/person.

Saturday, September 4th, 2021 starting at 4 p.m.
Thursday, September 12th, 2021 starting at 6 p.m.
Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 starting at 4 p.m.
Thursday, October 14th, 2021 starting at 6 p.m.
Saturday, November 13th, 2021 starting at 4 p.m.
Thursday, November 25th, 2021 starting at 6 p.m.

The course duration is approximately 2.5 h, with the following programme:

• lecture about sushi and distribution of course material
• preparation of tofu pouches (inarizushi) and serving of green tea (o-cha)
• preparation of miso soup (misoshiru), rolled sushi (makizushi) and hand-moulded sushi (nigirizushi)
• eating of the self-prepared sushi
